VOCATIONAL SERVICE focuses on the opportunity that Rotarians have to represent their professions as well as their efforts to promote vocational awareness, vocational programs, and high ethical standards in business.

From offering career guidance in high schools, youth leadership and development, international exchange programs, and seeking ways to improve conditions in the workplace, Rotarians and their clubs engage in many different kinds of vocational service.

International Youth Exchange Program
(from District 5360 site : here )

Long term youth exchange is an annual programme which sends and receives young people across international boundaries for one year to study and learn about customs, education, philosophy and culture of other nations as a means of promoting international understanding. The committee administers the programme, working with the clubs, District 5360, the exchange districts and RI. The programme is open to young people between the ages of 15 and 18, children of Rotarians and non-Rotarians alike, based on written application and interview.

For decades, Rotarians having been applying the "4-Way Test" to their business and personal relationships and in recent years, a "Declaration of Rotarians in Businesses and Professions" has given expression to their concern for ethical standards in the workplace.

Rotary 4 Way Test - "Of the things we think, say or do:

1. Is it the Truth?

3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships?

2. Is it Fair to all concerned?

4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?"
